This training will explore how to integrate EMDR into play therapy for children and adolescents. Participants will learn developmentally sensitive ways to obtain trauma history, use play therapy interventions to install positive beliefs, and adapt the EMDR protocol for tactile and attachment-based approaches. Through lectures, case examples, videos, and small group practice, attendees will gain strategies for titrating trauma content, integrating parents, managing dissociative parts, and using storytelling and expressive modalities in EMDR processing.

  • Who: Play therapists, child therapists, and EMDR-trained clinicians working with children and adolescents. Previous EMDR Basic Training is required.
  • What: 15-CE experiential training on integrating EMDR into play therapy.
