Referral Form
For Families:
Racker provides preschool special education services as contracted by a local school district. Therefore, if you are a parent interested in preschool special education services, please contact your local school’s Department of Special Education or Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) chair. CPSEs are responsible for referring children to Racker when appropriate. However, if you need help finding CPSE contact information or have general questions about navigating the preschool special education process we are happy to help! You can call 607-272-5891 for further information in the Ithaca or Tompkins County area or 607-753-9375 for the Cortland area.
For EI Service Coordinators or Providers:
Please note that Racker can only provide preschool special education services when contracted by a school district. Therefore, if you are recommending a child on your caseload for services at Racker, please be sure to connect with your student’s CPSE chair. According to NYS, only CPSEs may make a referral to Racker for preschool special education services. We also recommend you communicate with the CPSE chair well before the time your student ages out of EI into preschool services.
