Our ‘Starry Night’ is a warm and vibrant 5-bed respite house in Cortlandville, NY. Guests at Starry Night come for short-term overnight stays that focus on providing the guest with a variety of recreational, leisure, and socialization opportunities. This gives primary caregivers a chance for respite from providing care. Starry Night provides safe, private, and accessible bedrooms and bathrooms for guests, and cozy living rooms and a large kitchen for everyone to gather in. Staff at Starry Night are trained to provide the support that guests need to make them feel comfortable and relaxed; both while in the respite house and while experiencing the activities and events that the Cortland/Ithaca areas have to offer. Guests range in age from 3 years and up, and are scheduled for stays with others who share their interests whenever possible.
Visitors at Starry Night Respite home enjoy visits to local shops, eateries, and SUNY Cortland sporting events. All area facilities, local parks, Lime Hollow Nature Center, travel to nearby Ithaca to enjoy events at Ithaca College and Cornell, as well as local attractions such as the ScienCenter, Museum of the Earth, and more! In the warmer months, Ithaca provides abundant opportunities for hiking, shopping, and other fun activities!
Starry Night has an open, fully accessible floor plan. There are two full baths, transportation (and public transportation), as well as a Sprinkler System and is a Fire Safety rated house.
