Behavior Support

Supporting Success is a behavior support program that helps individuals ages 3 and up develop skills and eliminate challenging behaviors that often exclude them from activities and opportunities. Our Behavior Specialists work in people’s homes and in the community. Some examples of behaviors Supporting Success can support include:

  • Self-injurious behavior
  • Aggression towards others
  • Safety issues

Eligibility:  To be eligible for Supporting Success the individual with a disability should:

  • Live in Broome, Cortland, Tioga or Tompkins county
  • Have OPWDD eligibility
  • Live with a family member and/or caregiver and be eligible for Family Support Services

Supporting Success is not available to people living in certified settings including IRAs, Family Care, Foster Care, Adult Homes or that live independently.

How to access: Requests are typically made with the support of a Care Manager, however, families can also self-refer by completing an application for assistance.
